Zookeeper

I just ended my bi-week tenure as a zookeeper in St Gabriel's Secondary. I must say it was an amazingly challenging task, trying to teach chimpanzees how to use a computer. Firstly I must use monkey-speak or I will go frustratingly unheard. Monkey-speak involves a series of short recognisable phrases/commands designed to capture the chimpanzees' attention, like "OEI!", "What is happening over there?", "YOU!", "ATTENTION CLASS!", "QUIET!" and most effectively their respective cage names like "2E1!" or "2N2!".

But before I continue I must clearly state the above and below paragraphs are totally made in jest and do not have any effect on the high quality of training that I can offer, be it for knowledge, morals or even esteem, Parents' of St Gabriel's Secondary who have googled my blog by chance. I do see the great potential in them to be future businessmen, pastors or even prime ministers (provided the blasted government open enough prime ministerial positions by the time they are 40 so everyone of them can be one). I love your children with the love of God. And before I began every lesson I ask myself "What Will Jesus Do?".

Your children are lovely. They are so cute. I have never come across such a group of children as witty and independent as them. And they are such hungry people. So passionate for things that they love. So driven and so clear about what they want to do every time they come to my computer lab. And without fail and fear, they will ask abundant questions to fulfill their maturing curiosity. With unbeaten zeal, they will search for the things they desire. I believe that they must be extremely well loved and protected children at home and that protection extends deeply into the school.

They give me unforgettable memories.
